Welcome to the UTHealth School of Public Health Alumni Community!
We strive to provide opportunities for our alumni to remain involved with our school and to foster communication and collaboration amongst alumni, faculty and students. Did you know that all graduates from the UTHealth School of Public Health are members of the Alumni Association? You can become involved by participating in one or several of the activities described here.
UTHealth student email addresses are deactivated 90 days after graduation. However, all graduates from UTHealth School of Public Health receive a free alumni email account. Your new email address, temporary password, set-up instructions as well as forwarding instructions will be communicated to you within 60 days of graduation. If you haven’t received one and wish to sign up, please email SPHAlumni@uth.tmc.edu with your request.
Our office provides a collection of public health resources that will assist all registered students and alumni in their career endeavors and ultimately in their career success. Our services include resume and cover letter review as well as interviewing and networking strategies. You can also request access to Handshake, our career services platform, using your preferred email address. We invite you to explore the website to learn more about the variety of resources and services that are offered.
Transcripts, Degree Verifications & Duplicate Diplomas
Requests for transcripts, degree verifications or duplicate diplomas are processed through the UTHealth Office of the Registrar. More information can be found on their website.

Join the Alumni Advisory Committee
One impactful way to get involved is to join the Alumni Advisory Committee. This is a new initiative at UTHealth School of Public Health and the details are still being developed. However, we are transitioning to this advisory committee model to encourage as many alumni as possible to participate and share their voice. The Alumni Advisory Committee will work closely with the Dean’s Office and the assistant director for career and alumni services to help provide feedback on alumni engagement.
Become a Mentor
Mentorship is a rewarding experience that positively impacts both the mentor and mentee. At UTHealth School of Public Health, we want to facilitate these partnerships by offering opportunities for alumni to connect with current students. Below are examples of mentorship opportunities that demonstrate different levels of commitment depending on your availabilities and interests. As a mentor, you have a wonderful opportunity to share your expertise, help develop the future public health professionals, and stay connected to the School of Public Health.

Attend our Events
UTHealth School of Public Health hosts numerous alumni events throughout the year. Our largest event, the alumni reunion reception, - occurs during the American Public Health Association (APHA) annual meeting. We also host alumni panels followed by a networking reception. Speakers and panelists at the alumni panels have the unique opportunity to share their personal public health journey. If you are interested in participating as a speaker/panelist, please email Sarah Dauchez, assistant director of career and alumni services, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your feedback as well as the members of the Alumni Advisory Committee will help us propose events that you find most helpful and meaningful. In the meantime, we encourage you to attend our events, and consider attending the ones advertised on the UTHealth School of Public Health Calendar.
