Visitor Parking

Paid visitor parking is located in a parking garage beneath the BRC. All parking can be accessed by credit card. Use the same credit card to exit at the end of the day. All-day parking costs $12. For additional information go to Parking for Visitors.

Campus Shuttle Service

Shuttle busses pick up and drop off at bus shelters and marked bus stops (red circles on above map) every 10 minutes. For additional details see Campus Bus Routes. Rice shuttles can be tracked on your computer at and on your iPhone or Andriod. The app allows faster loading of the route map, viewing all the buses on the routes and their locations in real time. The buses are color coded to enable the passengers to identify the buses with colored bus symbols.

4th International Conference on Big Data and Information Analytics

Theories, Algorithms and Applications in Data Science

December 17-19, 2018

Purpose: The conference will bring together research scientists from academia, industries, and government agencies to report progress and exchange ideas to address challenges in fundamental research and rapid knowledge translation in collecting, processing, analyzing, integrating, annotating and visualizing Big Data for scientific exploration and business decision-making.

This will be the fourth meeting of the annual conference series previously held in China (1st and 2nd meetings) and Canada (3rd meeting).

Our Objectives:
  • To exchange and stimulate innovative ideas of state-of-art data science approaches and technologies to collect, process, analyze, integrate, annotate and visualize Big Data.
