It is designed to assist personnel from any local, state, regional, or federal office in conducting a rapid needs assessment to determine the health status, basic needs, or knowledge, attitudes, and practices of a community in a quick and low-cost manner. Gathering health and basic needs information using valid statistical methods allows public health and emergency managers to make informed decisions.

This is a great event to meet local public health professionals, get experience conducting field surveys, and gain first-hand experience using a CDC created survey technique. If you are interested in attending you can sign up HERE. This event is a long drive away from campus (~1 hour) so, if you are interested in carpooling to this event, send me an email to david.n.kronenberger@uth.tmc.edu with the event you are interested in and your address so that you can be added to our carpool list!
