About
Dr. Hao Feng is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biostatistics & Data Science at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He earned his B.S. in biosciences from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and his Ph.D. degree in biostatistics from Emory University, Rollins School of Public Health. Following his PhD, Dr. Feng began his independent research career as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in biostatistics at Case Western Reserve University, School of Medicine, Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences. He is a biostatistician focusing on problems in bioinformatics. His research includes developing statistical methodologies for analyzing complex -omics data, with a primary emphasis on neurodegenerative diseases, neurological disorders, and cancer research. By bridging biostatistics, bioinformatics, and computational biology, Dr. Feng is committed to creating practical, impactful statistical tools for high-throughput data analysis. Dr. Feng is a recipient and the PI of the NIH/NIGMS Maximizing Investigators’ Research Award (MIRA).
