NewsUTHealth School of Public Health was featured in the following media stories recently.

In a MedPage Today story about the Florida mass shooting, Robert Emery, Dr.P.H., discussed a Stop the Bleed campaign hosted by UTHealth last year and the importance of bystander intervention to save lives. 

During KPRC Radio's Fifty+ show, Robert Emery, Dr.P.H., shared tips on how to be safe while doing home projects.

Dietetic intern Diana Guevara was interviewed by Univision Houston Channel 45's Primera Edicion show about the best foods to eat for a healthy heart.

In a column for the Brownsville HeraldLisa Mitchell-Bennett, M.P.H., shared the history of how UTHealth and the City of Brownsville partnered together to improve the health of residents in the Rio Grande Valley.

Melissa Valerio, Ph.D., regional dean of UTHealth School of Public Health in San Antonio, was featured in the ASPPH Friday Letter when she was named deputy editor of Health Promotion Practice journal.
