NewsUTHealth School of Public Health was featured in the following media stories recently.

James Langabeer, PhD, MBA, was interviewed by Becker's Hospital Review about his research on the financial well-being of medical facilities.

Wesley McWhorter, MS, RD, was interviewed by FOX 26 News reporter Ruben Dominguez for three live segments yesterday morning about how viewers can have a tasty and healthy Fourth of July. Filmed at the School of Public Health, he talked about fresh produce grown in the school's holistic garden and did live cooking demonstrations on making sides and a healthy burger.

A study by Marcia Otto, PhD, found no significant link between dairy fats and cause of death, or heart disease and stroke. The research was covered by 22 media outlets so far, including The New Reddit Journal of Science, Nutrition Insight, MedicalXpress, and Science Daily. A reporter from Runner's World is scheduled to interview her tomorrow.

Research by Cheryl Perry, PhD, revealing an alarming increase in first-time smoking among young adults has appeared in nine media outlets including MedicalXpress, Science Daily, News Medical Life Sciences and MedicalResearch.

Proposed research by UTHealth was referenced in a Houston Chronicle story about firefighter health.
