NewsUTHealth School of Public Health was featured in the following media stories recently.

Ajit Appari, PhD, was featured in the ASPPH News after being named senior editor of ECRA journal.

Paula Stigler Granados, PhD, was quoted in reports by KXAS-TV Channel 5 in Dallas, WFAA-TV Channel 8 in Dallas, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times and the El Paso Times about a guide she led that advises people about kissing bugs, which transfer Chagas disease. The Austin American-Statesman also referred to the guide in a story.

James Langabeer, PhD, M.B.A., was interviewed by RevCycle Intelligence about his research into financial issues experienced by some acute care hospitals. Healthcare Finance included his research as well.

Alumnus Philip J. Lupo, PhD, MPH, was featured in the ASPPH News for having received the 2018 F. Clarke Fraser New Investigator Award.

The passing of former UTHealth president, M. David Low, MD, PhD, was featured in the ASPPH News.

Ellerie Weber, PhD, was quoted in a Community Impact Newspaper Austin article about how a new bill could help Austin patients avoid unexpected medical expenses after visiting freestanding emergency rooms.
