NewsUTHealth School of Public Health was featured in the following media stories recently.

In an interview with Cindy George of TMC News, Robert “Safety Bob” Emery, DrPH, discussed hurricane preparedness for the UTHealth campus and lessons learned from Hurricane Harvey.

James Langabeer, PhD, MBA, is testing an intervention program involving in-home follow-up visits with people who have overdosed on opioids. The pilot study is being conducted in conjunction with the Houston Fire Department, the Houston Recovery Center and Memorial Hermann-TMC. Read more in the Newsroom. He also was interviewed by FOX 26 News about the program, and he discussed the intervention with WOAI Radio in San Antonio.

The work of William Brett Perkison, MD, on a climate change health guide was featured in the ASPPH News.
