M.D./M.P.H. student Niki Khandheria, a volunteer deputy voter registrar for the recent primary elections, was featured in the email newsletter for Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector and Voter Registrar Ann Harris Bennett. Khandheria held a voter registration drive at the McGovern Medical School, handed out voter guides, and arranged carpools to the polls. She is passionate public policy and its link to health care.

Laura Moore, M.Ed., R.D., L.D., was featured in Today’s Dietitian for receiving the “Top 10 RD Making a Difference” award. Read more about her vision of creating the best dietetic intern program for UTHealth students.

Lisa Pompeii, Ph.D., was featured in the ASPPH news and Friday Letter after she was named editor-in-chief of the journal Workplace Health & Safety.

A writer for Houstonia magazine spoke with Shreela Sharma, Ph.D., R.D., about the benefits and risks of starting children on strict diets, such as gluten-free, organic or vegetarian diets.

Dietetic intern Sarah Wagner appeared on KPRC-TV Channel 2's Houston Life show to share tips on the best foods for heart health.
