NewsUTHealth School of Public Health was featured in the following media stories recently.

A study by Kelley Pettee Gabriel, PhD, MS, on the trap of greater inactivity during middle age was featured on InsideUTHealth.

Gregory Knell, PhD, was quoted in an online CNN article about a World Health Organization report revealing that around one in three women and nearly one in four men globally are not active enough to avoid common diseases. The national story was picked up on the websites of 12 regional radio stations and 14 TV channels across the United States.

Knell’s research on the surprising scale of health benefits for biggest weight loss was also featured in ASPPH News.

Cheryl Perry, PhD, was quoted in a Dentistry Today story about her research revealing an alarming increase in first-time smoking among young adults.
