Brighter Bites and UTPhysicians Produce Rx.

Project Overview

This project evaluates the Brighter Bites Produce Prescription program to determine whether access to fresh produce and nutrition education improves obesity-related health outcomes, mental health, diet quality, and food security among low-income, food-insecure children ages 5-12. Through an 18-month randomized study involving 150 families, the project assesses clinical, behavioral, and nutrition-related impacts to address disparities in pediatric chronic disease risk.
