CPRIT ACCESS
Project Overview
ACCESS is a multi-level implementation support program designed to increase colorectal cancer (CRC) screening in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) across East and South Texas. The program combines evidence-based interventions—such as practice facilitation, EHR optimization, lay health worker outreach, and patient navigation—to strengthen clinic systems and expand access to screening. Through tailored provider training, culturally relevant community education, and streamlined workflows for FIT kit distribution and follow-up, ACCESS helps clinics sustainably increase screening rates and reduce colorectal cancer disparities among underserved Texans.
