Information for friends, families and supporters of our spring 2021 graduates.

2021 Commencement Ceremony

Note: if you are a current student planning on graduating, please review the mySPH Commencement and Graduation page for more information, like academic requirements and robe rentals.

We are excited to confirm that we have begun making plans for the 2021 commencement ceremonies. This year, our goal is to create an experience that honors the hard work, growth, and dedication you have shown throughout your time here.

For the first time in the history of the university, our commencement ceremonies will be held at Minute Maid Park. In this new location, we are able to keep you and your guest’s safety as our top priority to follow federal and state COVID-19 safety guidelines, and encourage social distancing, disinfection, and live streaming of the event.

UTHealth will also be hosting joint ceremonies. The School of Public Health is paired with UTHealth School of Dentistry and Cizik School of Nursing.

We recognize the importance of celebrating this milestone with your family and friends. Many of the details concerning pre-ceremony preparation, safety protocols, guest attendance, and what to expect on that day are still under discussion. Our team will share updates and details as they are confirmed by the University. Please check back for updates.
