UTHealth Houston has been awarded more than $2.9 million from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to continue and expand a five?year initiative focused on increasing colorectal cancer screening, follow?up, and treatment across Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Texas.

At a topping out ceremony on Feb. 24, UTHealth Houston School of Public Health — ranked the 2024 Top Public Health school in Texas by U.S. News — celebrated the final beam being placed on its new 10-story, 350,000-square-foot facility, currently under construction in the Texas Medical Center’s Helix Park.
