About
I am trained as a demographer and social epidemiologist, and am interested in applying a social disparities lens to understand health behavior in populations. My work focuses on the design and quantitative evaluation of complex multi-component interventions targeting diet and physical activity behaviors in low-income populations, particularly when they include policy, systems, and environment changes. My current research includes examining the effects of changes in food retail on residents' food shopping and consumption behaviors; designing and automating evaluation systems across multiple providers serving SNAP populations; and using large-scale surveillance data to conduct secondary analyses of school children's health behaviors and obesity outcomes.
