About
I am trained as a demographer and social epidemiologist, and am interested in applying a social disparities lens to understand health behavior in populations. My work focuses on the design and quantitative evaluation of complex multi-component interventions targeting diet and physical activity behaviors in low-income populations, particularly when they include policy, systems, and environment changes. My current research includes examining evaluating the implementation parameters and effectiveness parameters of Food as Medicine programs targeting pregnant and postpartum women; evaluating impacts of nutrition-related policies and programs; and using large-scale surveillance data to conduct secondary analyses of school children's health behaviors and obesity outcomes.
