Casey Crump, MD, PhD, MS, MPH serves as Professor and Vice Chair of Population Health in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, and Professor in the Department of Epidemiology, Human Genetics and Environmental Sciences, at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He previously served as Director of the Center for Primary Care Research at Stanford University and Vice Chair for Research in Family Medicine and Community Health at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. His research focuses on population health and life course epidemiology. In an ongoing partnership with Lund University in Sweden, he is currently using Swedish national cohort data to conduct NIH-funded studies in several areas: (1) adult outcomes of preterm birth, (2) pregnancy-related and early-life risk factors for health outcomes across the life course, and (3) long-term mental health outcomes in cancer survivors and persons with Alzheimer’s disease.
