About

Dr. Yeh has received training in Preventive Medicine, Health Economics, Epidemiology, and Health Behavior Promotion. Accordingly, Dr. Yeh is driven by using preventive medicine precepts to synergistically integrate clinical medicine and public health to enhance behavior-based prevention to achieve health equity in cancer prevention and cancer outcomes for marginalized, underserved populations. Dr. Yeh synergizes medical and public health training to conduct interdisciplinary research in cancer equity-focused prevention and outcome interventions for Hispanic, border, and rural populations utilizing advanced quantitative and health economic approaches. Dr. Yeh has publications spanning Preventive, Behavioral, and Sleep Medicine. Currently, Dr. Yeh applies decision science simulation modeling and health economic evaluation to quantify the population health effects of cancer screening interventions and evaluate mental health interventions for students and breast cancer survivors. He is also involved in implementing efficacious, sustainable health promotion interventions to reduce the incidence and comorbidity of noncommunicable diseases in rural and Hispanic communities. In essence, Dr. Yeh is interested in designing and executing the decision analyses and economic evaluation of public health interventions designed to improve cancer-preventive and mental health-related outcomes for underserved populations, including youth, rural, and ethnic/racial minority populations.
