We are pleased to announce that UTHealth School of Public Health is ranked in the top 25 schools of public health in the nation, as reported by the US News and World Report. This ranking places UTHealth School of Public Health as the number 1 school of public health in Texas. It is through the hard work put in by our faculty and staff that this achievement is possible.

In addition to being the number 1 school of public health in Texas, UTHealth School of Public Health is also the oldest and largest school of public health in the state. According to nation-wide ASSPH data, overall UTHealth School of Public Health is in the top 8 schools for total graduate program enrollment, top 9 for total number of graduate students graduated, and top 10 schools of public health for total number of faculty members on staff.

Among public schools of public health, UTHealth School of Public Health rank rises to the top 3 for total number of graduate students graduated, and top 3 for total number of students enrolled. UTHealth School of Public Health is also in the top 10 most popular public school of public health programs for students applying to graduate programs.

While our rankings place us in the top tier of public health graduate programs, our tuition rates remain among the lowest. This is intentional. The money our students put towards their public health education should be a career-boosting investment that is easily repaid, not a burden they carry over decades. While we are exceptionally proud of our leading academic programs and rigorous research portfolio, the fact that we are able to offer these programs at a cost that is affordable and realistic for most Texans is essential to the longevity of the field and health of our communities.
