The Center for Health Promotion and Prevention Research presents the John P. McGovern Award Lecture Series on Thursday, March 9 from 11:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the RAS Building Auditorium. Prior to the lecture, there will be a Health Promotion and Behavioral Science student poster competition from 9:45-11:00 a.m. in the RAS Building lobby. Lunch will be served for the first 100 attendees.
Matthew Kreuter, Ph.D., M.P.H. will present “Lessons learned from 15 years of health communications research to eliminate health disparities.”
Kreuter, the 2017 John P. McGovern award recipient, is the Kahn Family Professor and Associate Dean for Public Health at the Brown School of Washington University in St. Louis. He is founder of the Health Communication Research Laboratory (HCRL), a leading center nationally that is now in its 22nd year of continuous funding.
