Master of Public Health in epidemiology from UTHealth Houston School of Public Health.

The MPH in Epidemiology is designed to provide a solid foundation in core epidemiology knowledge and skills, as well as breadth of achievement across the remaining four core public health disciplines (i.e., health promotion, biostatistics, environmental health, and management and policy). This program aims to prepare students to apply epidemiologic concepts and methods in public health practice, conduct research, and interpret public health evidence.

The online MPH in Epidemiology is designed with our students in mind—to be flexible for full-time and part-time students throughout Texas and the United States. 100% of the coursework required to complete the online MPH in Epidemiology is available asynchronously, but students may also take synchronous and in-person courses as their preferences and schedules allow.

Synchronous online courses meet on set days and times each week, where students join the instructor live via an interactive virtual format or attend these classes in person in the assigned classroom, with the faculty instructor present. Asynchronous online courses do not require live instruction but incorporate valuable faculty and peer interaction asynchronously for maximum flexibility. All classes have clear expectations detailed in the course syllabi, including class schedules, assessments, and deadlines.

Fall 2027 Application Deadline:

December 1, 2026: deadline for applicants who wish to meet the priority deadline to be considered for a new student scholarship

April 1, 2027: Final deadline for all degree-seeking applicants for the fall 2026 semester.
