Event Description
The Center for Global Health at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston will present “Preventing the next pandemic: Vaccine diplomacy in a time of anti-science” at noon on Monday, Nov. 15.
The event is open to all UTHealth Houston students, faculty, staff, and trainees, who can register for the event on Webex.
The discussion will be led by Peter J. Hotez, MD, PhD, professor and dean for the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He is co-director of the Center for Vaccine Development at Texas Children's Hospital.
Hotez is a leading scientist and expert in the fields of global health, vaccinology, and neglected tropical disease control. In 2015, the White House and U.S. State Department selected Hotez as a United States science envoy.
