About

Dr. Xi (Rossi) Luo is a Professor of Biostatistics and Data Science at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health. His interdisciplinary research integrates biostatistics, data science, artificial intelligence, and clinical trial methodology to advance understanding of aging, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as omics, neuroscience, brain and behavioral health, substance use, and infectious diseases. Dr. Luo’s work focuses on developing and applying innovative statistical and machine learning approaches to elucidate causal mechanisms, integrate multi-omics data, and identify translational biomarkers for complex diseases. In addition to his mathematical and methodological research, Dr. Luo has a strong record of collaborative and impactful team science and publications.
