About

Md. Saifur Rahman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Data Science at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He received his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of North Dakota. At UTHealth, Dr. Rahman teaches graduate-level courses in biostatistics and data science, and he is actively involved in mentoring and training the next generation of biostatisticians and data scientists. His skills center around crafting and implementing advanced data analytics techniques, including big data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL) and Agentic AI. He is teaching data science courses but also open to engage in collaborative research endeavors aimed at leveraging his expertise in creating innovative AI/ML/DL models and computational algorithms to derive valuable insights from large datasets.
