About the data
Real-time data is messy and we see the ramifications of this in a few of our graphs. The interpretations of this data should be considered in light of several limitations. Briefly,
- Data source: Cameron County Line Lists data
- Date to date data on the Weekly Report at the county level (which we are displaying) will be different from daily report at the state-level on main Dashboard displaying Texas DSHS data. This is due to the reporting lag between the county and the State.
- Cases data may be underestimated. This is because not all clinics are reporting data in a comprehensive, systematic manner.
- All positive COVID19 cases in Cameron County dashboard include positive results from diagnostic tests using the Real-Time Reverse Transcriptase (RT)-PCR method for COVID-19.
