Biography

Marie Brault, PhD is a medical anthropologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences. Her work is focused on improving adolescent-friendly approaches to sexual, reproductive, and mental health in community and clinical settings, both in the US and internationally. Dr. Brault's research interests include gender, community-based participatory research (CBPR), implementation and dissemination research, maternal, child and adolescent health, empowerment/agency, and qualitative and mixed methods approaches. Prior to joining UTH, she completed post-doctoral training at the Yale School of Public Health and Yale Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS. She received her PhD in anthropology from the University of Connecticut.
