Dr. Ho's lab: Early Intensive Viral Dynamic Data

Data


1. The data were produced from Dr. David Ho's lab in Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center and were initially published in the paper Perelson et al (1996), and later were used in the paper by Han, Chaloner and Perelson (2002).

2. This data set was fitted to a nonlinear regression model by Perelson et al (1996, Science) in which more details about the data can be found. Han, Chaloner and Perelson (2002) and Han and Chaloner (2004) used Bayesian MCMC and a nonlinear-effects model to fit this data set.

3. Five evaluable HIV-1 infected patients were treated with potent antiviral therapy. Plasma HIV RNA concentration was measured at hours 0,2,4,6,12,18,24,30,36,42,48, and days 3,4,5,6, and 7 using branched DNA(bDNA) assay.
