Event Description
Join us for the second in a series of Bayesian clinical trial design seminars featuring guest speaker, Heng Zhou, PhD, from biostatistics and research decision sciences at Merck & Co.
Bayesian designs for oncology dose-finding trials have been proposed for more efficiency and accuracy compared to conventional algorithm-based designs. Two general categories of Bayesian dose-finding designs are model-based designs, which usually need a complex dose-toxicity model to estimate the toxicity rate across dose levels, and model-assisted designs, which could achieve comparatively excellent performance as model-based designs while maintaining the operational simplicity of algorithm-based designs. In this seminar, we will review the commonly used designs in terms of statistical approaches and operating characteristics, and share some practical considerations with the operation of the designs.
