About
Dr. Hang is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, jointly appointed with the Department of Biostatistics and Data Science. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. Since 2014, she has been continuously funded by NASA, NIH, and NSF for atmospheric science and environmental health research. She leads the Health-Atmosphere Nexus Group (utsph-hang.org) to investigate health risks linked to air pollution, extreme weather, and natural disasters from under-resourced communities to global scales.
