UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in Brownsville celebrated 25 years of serving the Rio Grande Valley with an anniversary gathering October 1st at the historic Alonso Building, a restored 19th-century city landmark and event venue.
Behind every research finding is the potential to change a life. For firefighters, that could mean detecting cancer earlier, better understanding occupational risks, and gaining more time with the families and squads they call home.
Researchers from the AYA National Standards for Cancer Survivorship Care Consortium, led by Andrea Betts, PhD, reviewed studies across seven states and nine healthcare systems to better understand how survivorship care is delivered and experienced.
More than 200 students, faculty, and staff from across UTHealth Houston gathered at the new UTHealth Houston School of Public Health building to attend the Houston Health Department open house on Oct. 8, bringing university community members together with public health practitioners to explore programs, build connections, and discover opportunities for collaboration.
