A great educational experience doesn’t stop after graduation
Stay connected throughout your career
Our Alumni and Career Services team is working to build connections for our alumni so they have access to the resources and people that can help them build a meaningful career in public health. Whether you’re looking for professional development and skills coaching, or looking to network with fellow alumni, Alumni and Career Services is here to assist.
UTHealth student email addresses are deactivated 90 days after graduation. To make sure you don’t miss out on upcoming news and events, please be sure to provide an up-to-date email address by contacting the SPHAlumni@uth.tmc.edu.
Join the Advisory Council
The Alumni Advisory Council is a new initiative at UTHealth School of Public Health and aims to provide a voice our 7,500 and counting alumni. The Alumni Advisory Council is entrusted with identifying and developing engagement ideas that serve the needs of our community, including useful events, alumni ambassador programs, and mentoring the current student body. In addition to providing school leadership with direction on alumni affairs, the Alumni Advisory Council also provides continuous support and feedback to the School on curriculum and processes.

We offer our alumni a number of ways to continue building their skills and find new opportunities.
Handshake
Handshake is a career network for students and recent graduates. It is our primary platform for advertising career and work opportunities to our students and alumni, so whether you’re in search of a job, or looking to post a position, make sure you set up an account.
Alumni prior to Fall 2018: As an alum of UTHealth SPH, you may sign up for an account (cannot be a .edu email address) at https://uth.joinhandshake.com/ and we will review your request for approval within 2-3 business days.
Alumni post Fall 2018: All student Handshake accounts are converted to alumni accounts 3-4 weeks after graduation (using the email provided during the Graduate Exit Survey). Students will be prompted to reset their password.
Handshake connects you to jobs and employers across the country, and we will continuously be growing our network of employers. Any questions about your alumni Handshake account can be directed to SPHCareerServices@uth.tmc.edu.
