Dr. Novikov is an Organizational Behavior Scientist with a specialization in teams and teaming, driven by an unwavering commitment to fortify patient safety and quality of care. Dr. Novikov's research aims to capture the intricacies of dynamic teams, assessing the interplay among individual, team, and organizational factors within multilevel organizational systems. Through this research, Dr. Novikov elucidates pathways for healthcare professionals to collectively elevate team-based care, presenting pioneering insights that stand as a catalyst for industry advancement. Dr. Novikov's research has garnered recognition from prestigious associations such as the Academy of Management, Academy Health, Organizational Theory in Health Care, and Ingroup. It has also been published in top-tier management and healthcare management journals, including the Journal of Management, Social Science and Medicine, Health Care Management Review, Medical Care Research and Review, and Medical Care. Dr. Novikov holds an MSc in Organizational Behavior from Tel-Aviv University's Coller School of Management, as well as a PhD in Organizational and Managerial Studies from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. Prior to joining the UTHealth School of Public Health in Houston, Dr. Novikov completed postdoctoral training at Stanford University's School of Medicine. Dr. Novikov's academic journey is complemented by valuable consulting experience with High-Reliability Organizations in Israel, which enriched Dr. Novikov's comprehension of organizational and team science, and their profound influence on efficient healthcare operations.
