Healthcare Management MPH reaccredited by CAHME
We're proud to announce that after a rigorous review process, the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) has reaccredited the Master of Public Health in Healthcare Management program for seven years.
Considered the benchmark of healthcare management education, CAHME accreditation is highly sought after by students and employers. The MPH in Healthcare Management at UTHealth School of Public Health is one of only a select few MPH programs in healthcare management in the country accredited by CAHME. In addition to CAHME accreditation, which recognizes excellence in healthcare management, the healthcare management program is also recognized for excellence in public health through UTHealth School of Public Health’s Council on Education for Public Health accreditation.
"Full seven-year accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education solidifies our program's status as one of the top healthcare management programs offered in schools of public health." says Robert Morgan, PhD, professor and chair of the Department of Management, Policy and Community Health.
The program was also one of the first to earn continued accreditation virtually in accordance with CAHME’s pandemic policies, adds Lee Revere, MS, PhD, professor in the Department of Management, Policy and Community Health and director of the healthcare management program. She credits program faculty for adapting to the virtual format.
“I am so proud of our faculty for rising to the challenge and working hard to secure our continued accreditation for the full seven years,” Revere says. “This honor speaks to our program’s quality and our faculty’s commitment to our students.”
