Implement

Guide
If you have made it to the Implement phase, you are now ready to promote and conduct your comprehensive vaccination clinics, and provide appropriate parent education about HPV and other adolescent vaccines. Great job making it to this important step in your journey!
Here you will launch two of the All for Them Keys: Social Marketing and Educational Campaign and Comprehensive School-Based Vaccination Clinics!
Changes made during implementation may directly impact program effectiveness! Whether your program is being implemented as intended with few to no changes (in other words … with fidelity) is an important consideration. Refer back to the All for Them Keys for a refresher on which components are essential and which parts you can make your own.

To maximize your impact, it’s essential to tailor your outreach efforts to meet the unique needs of your community. For clinic promotion and vaccine education:

SCHOOL TEAMS will likely have the most direct access to parents and are therefore key players in this phase, especially for raising clinic awareness. Team members who are often more heavily involved in implementation and should use the tools in this section include school nurses, communications staff, and any other community-oriented staff who work regularly with parents and families.

HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS AND CLINICS may have established relationships with campuses or families, or they may have a community/lay health worker on the team. Get those staff involved as well to improve participation from patients who attend the school(s) in which you are implementing the program.
The Bilingual Outreach and Promotional Materials section provides tools designed to help you connect with parents, students, and staff, and engage with families in ways that are accessible to them. The tools may primarily be used by school teams and are customizable to your organization (with opportunities to also add your implementation partner’s logos for “co-branding”).

Recognizing that HPV vaccine education is a key part of All for Them, we provide tools in the Parent Vaccine Educational Materials section to help families make informed decisions about their child’s health — use them to engage in meaningful conversations with parents and answer common questions. Keeping parents informed is critical to improving engagement and participation in your school-based vaccination clinics.

To assist with clinic implementation, check out the Vaccination Clinic Resources section. Effective tracking and organization are essential to ensure smooth clinic operations and coordination between your team and implementation partners. Use the tools in this section to monitor returned consent forms, track student participation, and document vaccines received on the day of the clinic.
