About
Dr. Tami-Maury is an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in the Department of Epidemiology, Human Genetics and Environmental Sciences at The University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHealth) at Houston School of Public Health (SPH). She also holds an adjunct appointment at UTHealth SPH Department of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences; The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center; and The University of Texas School of Dentistry. Dr. Tami-Maury has a particular interest in two specific areas: 1) Cancer prevention and control in vulnerable populations (e.g., sexual and gender minority groups, people living with HIV/AIDS, immigrants, ethnic minorities, cancer patients, adolescents and young adults, etc.) and, 2) eHealth/mHealth research and e-learning/training for health care providers and lay health workers in low/middle-income countries and underserved areas of the US. Dr. Tami-Maury’s mentees have engaged in her ongoing research efforts and have served as co-authors in scientific presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
