About
Dr. Cecilia Ganduglia Cazaban, MD, DrPH, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management, Policy and Community Health and serves as Director of the Center for Health Care Data (CHCD). A physician and health services researcher, Dr. Ganduglia Cazaban bridges clinical insight with data-driven policy. She co-founded the CHCD, which now houses the Texas All-Payer Claims Database—an unprecedented resource for statewide transparency and research, funded by the Texas Legislature. Her research portfolio spans maternal health, Medicaid policy, health equity, and data infrastructure, with funding support from NIH, CDC, CMS, the State of Texas and leading foundations. She has led and supported evaluations for major state initiatives including the Healthy Texas Women 1115 Waiver and the External Quality Review for Texas Medicaid. Dr. Ganduglia Cazaban holds degrees from Universidad del Salvador, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and UTHealth School of Public Health.
