A recap of Ex4OSH 2021 -- What They Are Saying

Ex4OSH 2021, a virtual conference, was held Dec. 9-11, 2021. The conference was hosted by the Southwest Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (SWCOEH) Education and Research Center at UTHealth School of Public Health in partnership with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the Conference Planning and Scientific Committee.

The conference brought together an international and interdisciplinary audience of employers, workers, health and safety professionals, researchers, policymakers, and the academic community to address the need for an expanded focus for occupational safety and health (OSH). The 3-day event addressed three critical areas for the future of OSH: research, training, and policy. The challenges facing OSH were explored and recommendations to address these challenges were developed. The conference included five keynote addresses, two plenary addresses and seven concurrent sessions.
