HEALTH CONNECTIONS

Health of Texas Data connects to participants’ already available health information. This information includes doctor visits, pharmacy orders, and other information related to care. Connecting Health of Texas Community to Health of Texas Data provides a powerful way to see the complete picture of health needs across the state.

By connecting your surveys to your health information, Health of Texas Data creates a bridge to better understand and address health. Health information is already stored securely at UTHealth Houston’s Center for Health Care Data. Watch the video to learn more about Health of Texas Data.

TEXAS ALL-PAYOR CLAIMS DATABASE

The Texas All-Payor Claims Database is the collection of health care claims from private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare claims. This information includes medical, pharmacy, and dental claims, plus eligibility and provider files.

In September 2021, the Texas Legislature passed a health care transparency law that established this database. The goal for the database is to improve the overall health of Texans by understanding the cost and quality of the health care they receive.

The Texas All-Payor Claims Database is securely housed within UTHealth Houston’s Center for Health Care Data. Learn more about the center by visiting its website.
