Research Assistant I
Luke Hebert is Research Assistant I for the project, “Age of Initiation of tobacco products among USA youth and young adults.” This project plans to conduct secondary analyses of the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) study.
Luke received his B.S. in Bioinformatics from the University of St. Thomas in Houston before entering medical school at Houston’s McGovern Medical School. Driven by a love of science, Luke decided to leave medical school early to pursue a career in research and is currently preparing to apply to PhD programs focused on computational biology.
Before entering university, Luke worked at a botanical garden and is still an avid gardener in his free time. He is always ready to go jogging and his favorite days are the ones he spends with his wife and family.
