Youth E-cigarette Prevention and the CATCH My Breath Program: Policy, Prevention and Implementation
Series: CATCH Monthly Webinar
Speaker: Dr. Steve Kelder, Barry Sharp, Lisa Cummings
Length: 55:17 minutes
In this month's webinar, we will discuss the importance of youth E-cigarette prevention, creation of the CATCH My Breath program, and policy and implementation efforts across the country, including pilot results from the program's launch this August. On the heels of a new U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ruling this summer extending the authority to regulate E-cigarettes, CATCH My Breath, is a first-of-its-kind program rolled out to middle schools across the country to address the recent spike in youth E-cigarette use. The program was developed by the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health, and is distributed by the CATCH Global Foundation.
Webinar guests include:
- Steven Kelder, Ph.D., MPH, author of CATCH My Breath, and co-director of the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living.
