Published: March 15, 2021
This is the third week of National Nutrition Month® and this week's theme is physical activity. Below are some helpful tips to stay active while working from home. I have also included a beginner workout that can be done at home with no equipment.
Ways to stay active while working at home
- Plan a section of your day to go for a walk (listen to a podcast, music, audiobook, phone a friend, phone into a meeting if possible)
- Set timers to stand up and stretch
- Set timers to breath
- Create a standing desk environment if this is possible for you
- During meetings have a time where everyone stands up and stretches
- Schedule active meetings like yoga
- Find a place inside to do a quick workout during a break
- Create a time to stand up and make a meal
- Take the stairs whenever possible
