Past Mini-Grant Recipients

The mini-grant award program was established in 2011-2012 for youth-led action around obesity prevention at the middle school level.  Since then the mini-grant award program has expanded throughout the Central Texas community and the annual themes have also expanded.

Since 2011, the Collaborative has received more than 100 applications and awarded approximately $24,500 in 66 mini-grants to schools, nonprofit and other organizations who have made significant efforts to improve child health and wellness initiatives in Central Texas.  Seven organizations and schools have applied multiple times and received 2-3 mini-grants pointing the overall success and impact of the Collaborative mini-grant program.
