We are pleased to have Richard Rairigh, director of Be Active Kids, join us for this Month's CATCH webinar, "Improving Children’s Health Across North Carolina: A Collaborative Approach." 

In this month's webinar we will discuss:

  • The Be Active Kids Program;
  • How CATCH and Be Active Kids have collaborated to bring Sunbeatables to North Carolina; and,
  • Current and future outcomes and impact around sun safety efforts across North Carolina.

Be Active Kids is an award winning, signature program of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation. This innovative, interactive health program for children ages birth to five is available to adults working in child care centers, child care homes, and schools across North Carolina. It's evidence-based and evidence-informed messages are carried out through five cuddly and adventurous characters including Blue the caring cub, Glide the bird, Swing the monkey, Leap the rabbit and Dart the dog.

Be Active Kids has been working on improving the health of young children across North Carolina since 1999. Be Active Kids work covers a wide range of participants from state level organizations to the child care provider. Our health-related content, community action programs, trainings, and professional development opportunities can be found statewide.
