Dr. Augusto De Moraes is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology, Human Genetics, and Environmental Sciences at the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in Austin. He is also a research investigator of the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living. His research interests include determinants of cardiovascular health, multiple lifestyle-related behaviors, brain cognitive development, diagnostic/predictive methods, and their possible interactions with environmental determinants in young people from low- and high-income countries, including countries in North America, Latin America, and Europe. De Moraes is a member of the Scientific Societies: Society for Epidemiologic Research (SER), the SER Leadership and Executive Committee and International Subcommittee, the American Society of Nutrition (ASN), The Obesity Society (TOS), and the World Obesity Federation.
