Rupa completed her pediatric residency in Chicago at Advocate Children's Hospital and went on to complete a fellowship in integrative medicine at the Northwestern University Osher Center and the University of Arizona center for Integrative Medicine. She practiced general pediatrics at Lurie Primary Care prior to joining the Pediatric faculty at LSU. She then completed a 1 year program in integrative oncology and was Co-Director of the Cancer Survivorship and Lifestyle Medicine Clinic at LSU for 4 years where she also taught culinary medicine. She has practiced pediatrics for over 8 years and is also trained in shared medical visits, nutrition, clinical hypnosis, and mind body medicine. She is boarded in Pediatrics and Integrative Medicine and she recently joined UTHealth Houston in May 2024 where she has a joint position as an assistant professor of community and general pediatrics at McGovern Medical School and a culinary medicine instructor with the School of Public Health.
